Reevaluation

Reevaluation applies when an Exempt or Nonexempt Regular or Contingent Category 2 employee is changing from a current position to another position where an assumption of significant and substantial responsibilities have evolved in their current position. Specific instructions for each field on the reevaluation form are included in the form.

  1. Complete Staff Action Request .
  2. Attach required documentation:
    • Resume
    • Organizational chart
    • Justification stating substantial and significant evolution of duties
    • Statement of Business Needs from department head
    • Hired Position Description
    • Current Position Duties
  3. Send all documentation to HR Compensation.
  4. Compensation will review all documents and determine if there is substantial and significant evolution of duties.
  5. Compensation will notify department of final determination.

Reassignment

A reassignment is when an Exempt or Nonexempt Regular or Contigent Category 2 employee is assigned to a  new department, supervisor, building location, or job title. This is done in adjusting funding sources, vacancy of a supervisor position, or change in building location. A request to reassign to a new job title will require additional documentation.   1. Complete Staff Action Request
  2. Include justification for reassignment on the request form.
  3. For job title change, please attach additional documentation:
    • Organizational Chart
    • Statement of Business Needs from department head
  4. Send all documentation to HR Compensation.
  5. Compensation will review all documents and determine if the reassignment can be supported.
  6. Compensation will notify department of final determination.
